Short introduction
Mats Hummels ranks seventh with a wealth of 20 million euros in the ranking of German soccer players who are currently active. Like the six players before him, he was part of the German national team who won the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Hummels realizes the prototype of a modern central defender: On the one hand, he keeps the opponent’s attacker with the speed and strength of his header, on the other hand, he changes himself into attacks with the right bait and many clarity and scoring goals.
Thanks to his wife Cathy, Hummels appeared more often in Tabloid magazine far from the soccer field. He works as a moderator and continues to talk about his media appearance.
Early life
Mats Hummels was born in 1988 at Bergisch Gladbach, the son of a soccer player Hermann Hummels and sports journalist Ulla Hollthoff, where he spent his childhood. After completing his career as an active soccer player, Hummel’s father became a soccer coach at SV Wehen and then at 1. FSV Mainz 05. Finally, he got an offer to become a junior coach at FC Bayern Munich.
The following transfer to Munich allows Mats Hummels to switch to the FC Bayern Youth Department as a young player consisting of seven people. There he continued to grow until he was allowed to appear on the regional youth team for the first time in the 2005/2006 season in the Youth Division. Under the tight eyes of coach Hermann Gerland, he managed to get a regular place and recommend it to professional forces.
Career
After Hummels signed his first contract with Bayern in 2007, he initially could not win against strong competition in a professional squad. To collect game training, he turned to Borussia Dortmund in the 2007/2008 season with loan status.

The 2008/2009 season is very unfortunate. Because of ligament injuries, he came out of the first half of the season and the whole half of the season. Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich agreed to Hummels’s last change.
From the 2009/10 season, Hummels only uphill. He is regular again and meets the requirements with the team for the European League. The following year he won the championship with Borussia. Borussia’s defense so far is the best in the league. In the 2011/2012 season, the team could even exceed success by winning the DFB championship and the DFB Cup.
In the 2012/13 season, Hummels and his team only manage the representative championship. In the Champions League too, he must be satisfied with the second place behind Bayern.
2013/14 again just jumped out of second place in the DFB Cup behind Bayern. Hummels achieved the next great success with the national team at the World Cup in Brazil with a title win.
After BVB eleven once again only reached second place in the DFB Cup in the 2015/2016 season, Hummels returned to FC Bayern, with whom he won the German championship three times and the DFB Cup once. Hummels is currently under contract for BVB again.
