Eldrick “Tiger” Woods is one of the most successful golfers of all time. At the age of two years, he appeared on television as a miracle of golf for the first time. Early life
Tiger Woods was born in Cypress, California from Kultida and Earl Woods. His father – who is still called Woods Woods – is a veteran and Lieutenant Colonel Vietnam in the US Army. He was also very enthusiastic about golf so that Woods was in contact with sports very early.
Woods won his first amateur tournament, Junior World Golf Championship, in 1984 at the age of eight years. In 1991 he won the title six more. From 1991 to 1993 he was the winner three times from the US Junior Amateur Title. From 1993 to 1996 he broke another record by also winning the men’s amateur title three times in a row.
From 1994 he was part of the Stanford University golf team, whom he won the NCAA title. Before moving to a professional camp, he studied economics for two years.
